What could be better than spending an unforgettable holiday with the whole family? In Sankt Wendel County, there are many things to discover, experience and marvel at, whatever your age.
First of all there is Lake Bostalsee, the largest recreational lake in south-west Germany. Kids can really let off steam in the water in one of the two supervised beach areas - slides, sandcastles and pedalo rides are all part of the daily routine - while parents can sit back and relax on the sunbathing lawn. A footgolf course where you can demonstrate your ball skills is situated beside the sunbathing lawn.
Plenty of alternatives in case of bad weather are also available, such as the Bosiland indoor playground with its slides, trampolines, climbing couse and go-kart track. In Center Parcs Park Bostalsee, you can explore many things both indoors and outdoors: from crazy golf and bowling to the Aqua Mundo adventure swimming pool and children's entertainment, nothing is left to be desired.
And Sankt Wendel County has a lot more to offer: how about archery, a fast ride on the summer toboggan run on Peterberg hill or a visit to Naturwildpark Freisen wildlife park, where you can watch and feed animals that roam free? And if that's not to your taste, adventurous playgrounds and a number of lidos and indoor swimming pools are waiting to be discovered.
If you are staying overnight and want to make your children gasp in amazement, you have plenty of opportunities to do so: at the campsite at Lake Bostalsee, just a five-minute walk from the lake, you can find fairy-tale houses with playground equipment that will enchant your kids. In the county town of St. Wendel, colourful circus wagons convey a feeling of nature and freedom.
In our German flyer „Hits für Kids – Familienangebote im Sankt Wendeler Land“ (in German), we present further leisure activities, bad weather alternatives, events and special overnight accommodation options suitable for children.
