The starting point is at a car parking on the road connecting St. Wendel and Winterbach.
The route passes through a water conservation area, mostly through natural beautiful forests, at several wetland areas. Beautiful views of the Wurzelbachtal valley in the direction of Oberlinxweiler and Bosenberg. Along old border path with a sharp ascent over the Hammelsberg mountain to the Rheinstraße
A non-forested stretch in the water reserve, leading past several wetland areas, with a beautiful view on the direction of Oberlinxweiler and Bosenberg, resting opportunities at Vierbannstein
Route runs only on dirt tracks through the forested water conservation area. In the area of the historic “Vierbannstein” there is a beautiful to view of the Wurzelbachtal valley to the Linxweiler Pforte (Linxweiler Gate).
