Bike transport on local public transport
Bikes are allowed free of charge on the Saarland public transport network (SaarVV) after 9 am Monday to Friday and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. For journeys before 9 am Monday to Friday, a "single bike ticket" must be purchased for your bike.
Please note that bikes may only be taken on buses that have suitable parking spaces and on trains in specially designated areas of the carriages, or in the boarding areas of the carriages. Priority is given to the transport of mobile walking aids (wheeled walkers), wheelchairs and pushchairs.
