The Kunstzentrum (Center of Arts) Bosener Mühle is directly located on the lake Bostalsee. The former flour mill, whose date of origin can no longer be retraced, was extended with a large barn in the year 1870. Due to it being uneconomical, the mill business was discontinued in the early 1930s. In line with the development and building measures at lake Bostalsee, the rural district of St. Wendel acquired the mill in 1977 and developed it as a Center of Arts. Today, the Bosener Mühle is a meeting center for people from all over Europe who are interested in arts. Each year numerous exhibitions and events are held in the sections of music, literature and the theatrical arts. There is a wide range of courses, workshops and intensive courses that beginners, advanced, children as well as adolescents can actively take part in. For this purpose appealing and spacious studios are available. The courses offer ranges from drawing, painting, pottery, plastic modeling, stone sculpturing and printing to mixed techniques, creative writing, textile art or wood design.
