Pure indulgence in landscape and nature on the 132 km long the Region of Sankt Wendel panoramic trail, in the Nature Park Saar-Hunsrück. A varied Mittelgebirgslandschaft (low mountain range landscape) with a charming change from wooded hills and open cultivated land, and spectacular view points and many little treasures are waiting for you on the individual stages. Since it is a circular route, the daily stages are chosen according to desire and stamina. Starting point of this stage, the county town of St. Wendel, dominated by the Wendelinusbasilika (Wendelinus Basilica). The church was built in the late Gothic style, and can be traced back to the 15th century. The walk starts at the Schlossplatz in St. Wendel, passing the Wendelinuskapelle (Chapel of St. Wendelin), where the annual blessing of the horses is held at Pentecost,
