Idyllically situated in the woods near Selbach, the Nahe river originates. In close vicinity to the spring there is an outdoor enclosure with a large stock of wildlife such as ducks, geese, peacocks, goats and deer. Particularly for families with children, the outdoor enclosure is a ideal experience. A comfortable barbecue hut provides room for parties and celebrations.

The spring of the Nahe is also the starting point for the popular cycling route along the Nahe. There is a distance of ca 125 km from the spring to the mouth of the river in Bingen. Furthermore, three Nordic walking routes and hiking trails begin at the source of the Nahe.
