The Herzweg path is equally popular and appreciated by walkers, Nordic walkers and joggers, and leads around the Schaumberg hill. It owes its name to the stimulating effect on the heart and circulation, which is attested to it by its particularly high altitude. Due to its small height differences and the very good path qualities it is suitable for families with children and elderly people for rambling and walking. Also, people with physical disabilities can use the accessible route. Immediately on the way there is the "Africa Chapel”, which was built in 1957 at the initiative of former prisoner of the war camp Ram Ram in Morocco. A “bench for the senses” invites you to relay and enjoy during good weather. Only a short walk from the starting or finishing point of the cardiac Herzweg path, a short diversion to the Schaumberg plateau is worthwhile.
